God
created the family and it is of utmost importance to him because he
treasures relationships. Everyone is invited to join God's family. When we
experience the spiritual birth (Acts 2:38) it makes us a part of God's
family. Matthew 12:50 "For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is
in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother." God wants
families who will place him first, love, honor and obey him. Material and
spiritual blessings are bestowed upon His family - wisdom, mercy, love, joy,
peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, temperance, faith, meekness.
Being included in God's family is the highest privilege and honor in this
world. Psalms 68:6 "God setteth the solitary in families: he bringeth out
those who are bound with chains but the rebellious dwell in a dry land."
God's family (the body of Christ) helps to develop us spiritually, everyone
is important and we minister to one another. Ultimately we will get to reign
with Him. Romans 8:17 "And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and
joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be
also glorified together. For I reckon that the sufferings of this present
time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in
us."
