God has given to every man a measure of faith. Rom
12:3. “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh
to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that
diligently seek him.” Heb 11:6. Familiarity can cause unbelief as it did in
those who knew Jesus’ family. “…is not this the carpenter’s son?” Matt
13:55. “And he did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief.”
Matt 13:58. When you feel God, respond to him. When we face situations that
seem impossible, have faith rather than fear. Jesus told his disciples to
pass over to the other side (of the lake). A great storm of wind arose and
the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now full. They awoke Jesus.
“…Master, carest thou not that we perish?” “Peace be still”. “Why are ye so
fearful? How is it that ye have no faith?” Mark 4:35-40. Regardless of what
you see, put your faith in God. Remember the dry bones that God brought
together, put flesh on and put life into. Fear is a most effective weapon of
the devil, but faith is a great tool in God’s hand. Hear God’s Word, read it
– “So then faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God.” Rom
10:17. Prayer and fasting will build faith in our hearts. Continually on a
daily basis, - study it, meditate upon it, search the scriptures, believe
it, pray it, speak the promises, obey it, hide it in your heart. “Wherefore
lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness and receive with
meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls. James 1:21. |
