Sissy (Viola “Jackie” Williamson): God has been so good to us. I can’t tell
you how many miracles, blessings and healings that the Lord has given to the
Cain Family. He has walked with the Cain Family many, many years and
continues to walk with us. We have different names, live far apart from each
other, but are all one family.
While living in Abbeville, LA, and working for the Ohio Oil Company, my
Dad went for his physical. The company wanted their men to get a physical
every year. It wasn’t mandatory but Dad did it every year. This particular
year, the doctor kept telling Dad he was doing very good, until he got to
the lower part and the doctor said, “We’re in trouble here”. Dad had three
cancer tumors, one on the outside of the intestine, one half way through the
wall and one on the inside. They sent him to M.D. Anderson in Houston. He
lost several feet of intestine from surgery. One night the two nurses were
worried about his blood pressure – it was dropping out of sight. They did
not know what to do. I don’t know if Dad heard them talking or felt himself
sinking, but when they left out he asked Mom to pray for him. She did. When
the nurses came in 3 or 4 minutes later, his blood pressure had come way up.
Isn’t the Lord good!
When Mom and Dad got home, he was very weak. Mom ran him some bath water
and helped him in the tub. She went to get his robe and when she came back,
Dad had passed out and slid down in the tub. Mom got his head up and called
a workman in the plant to come help her get him out of the tub.
I think the Lord didn’t want his first miracle to go away, so He pulled
Dad out of it and gave him another miracle. Isn’t God good! I am so thankful
to Jesus for giving me my family. I love Him and all of my family.

“Without me you can do nothing.” John 15:5 God is the author and finisher
of our faith. Knowing your strength lies wholly in God and not in yourself
is very important. We must have a firm, settled persuasion that God is
almighty in power and that His almighty power is engaged for our defense. It
has always been the Father’s will that we trust Him only. God demands to be
called the Almighty. He insists that we place our confidence in Him. We are
to cling to the promise of His power. We are not to argue or to reason nor
trust in yourselves. God expects you to meet every trial and every
temptation leaning on His arms. Talk about your provider. Confess with your
mouth out loud that God is going to provide, He is going to take care of the
situation, He is going to heal, etc.
